¡Bienvenidos a los alumnos y al profe del Gimnasio Oxford, Bogotá, Colombia!
South Whidbey Middle School/High School students are hosting visitors from Bogotá, Colombia for 10 days. The six students and their teacher, Gino Vargas, are visiting SW to practice their English and experience life on Whidbey and at school. During their visit, the Colombian students have conversed with Spanish classes, given presentations about various aspects of Colombia, and enjoyed spending time with their host families and exploring Whidbey Island. On Friday, they will present an assembly of Colombian music and dance to the Middle School and HIgh School students. Thank you, students from Gimnasio Oxford, for sharing this time with us! SWHS has been hosting cultural exchanges from Colombia since 2004. Thank you to all who have helped support this program, both in the school and as host families!
