One of our most cherished traditions returned this year, and it was as heartfelt as ever. For the third year in a row, our South Whidbey High School graduating seniors welcomed our South Whidbey Elementary kindergarten students to their campus for a special visit. These sweet kindergarteners created handmade bracelets for the seniors and sang favorite songs like Make New Friends, Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, and You Are My Sunshine before gifting each senior a bracelet. This year’s design featured bright stars. Principal Patton shared a few words with the seniors, reminding them that their journey began many years ago as kindergarten students. Now, 13 years later, they are standing at this meaningful milestone —> their last semester at South Whidbey.
