As part of our ongoing safety adjustments based on site reviews and staff input, the district is installing security fencing at several buildings this summer.
Port Susan Middle School, Cedarhome Elementary, Stanwood Elementary, Elger Bay Elementary, and Utsalady Elementary are getting fencing installed to increase student and staff safety while school is in session.
All of our fields and playgrounds remain open and available for public use throughout the summer and after school hours once classes begin in the fall.
The fencing is among the last projects funded from the now-expired Capital Improvements and Technology levy (2019-2022).
