Little learners explored big sounds during a hands-on music experience today with Stanwood Middle School band director Mrs. Currey, who brought a collection of instruments across the street to Sequoia Preschool.

As part of the preschoolers’ music unit, she demonstrated instruments, answered questions, and helped students explore sound and rhythm up close.

Moments like this are a perfect example of our Strategic Plan in action — strengthening early learning foundations with our community partners, nurturing curiosity from the very beginning, and recognizing just how powerful early exposure to music education can be in a child’s development.
