Nutritious meals help students focus, learn, and thrive — and we want to keep that support strong in our schools
The Stanwood-Camano School District posted this to its Facebook page on 2026-02-25 10:28:07.
Nutritious meals help students focus, learn, and thrive — and we want to keep that support strong in our schools.
We are thankful that this school year all meals are free at Elger Bay, Utsalady, Twin City, Stanwood, and Church Creek Campus (Lincoln Hill High, Lincoln Academy, and Saratoga School).
Looking ahead to next year, Elger Bay and Stanwood elementaries qualify for free meals for 2026-27. However, Cedarhome, Twin City, Utsalady, and Church Creek Campus haven’t yet reached the state’s required 30% eligibility threshold — but they are very close!
Because we’re so close, the state has extended our deadline to April 1. That means there is still time — and even a small number of additional Free and Reduced Meal applications could make the difference.
If your family might qualify, please take a few minutes to apply. It takes less than 10 minutes, only one application is needed per family, and all information is confidential. This free meal program is funded through a combination of the federal National School Lunch Program (NSLP), the School Breakfast Program (SBP), and Washington state meal funding.

A few minutes today could help provide free meals for every student at these schools next year.
Please help us spread the word!
