Stanwood High School Theatre will bring the energy of a Greek island to the stage next month with its spring musical production of “Mamma Mia!.”

Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. on March 6, 7, 13, and 14 in the Stanwood High School Performing Arts Center.

Set to the iconic music of ABBA, the story follows Sophie on the eve of her wedding as she searches for her father, leading to unexpected reunions, heartfelt revelations, and a joyful celebration. The production features the music and lyrics of Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, with some songs written with Stig Anderson, a book by Catherine Johnson, and was originally conceived by Judy Craymer.

More than 50 Stanwood students are involved in the cast and crew, showcasing the depth of talent across the school’s theatre program. From vocals and choreography to set design and technical production, students have worked for months to prepare a high-energy performance for the community.

Tickets are $12 for general admission and $10 for students with an SHS ASB Card and children under 18. Tickets are available for purchase online through GoFan and will also be sold at the door beginning at 6 p.m. each performance night.
