RON MUZZALL: The 2024 campaign starts now
Senator Ron Muzzall (R-Oak Harbor) sent out the following email from his campaign account on Mon., Apr. 24, 2023.
Dear Friends,
Another legislative session is in the books now, and today I’m heading back home to my district and the real world.
The legislative session had its good points at times. The Senate Republican Caucus is responsible for 28% of the legislation this year. Good reasonable legislation. We were unable to make the progress we desired on Blake or pursuit legislation. We made some progress on our behavioral health crisis. But we played a lot of defense this year, fighting truly bad ideas coming from less than compassionate people.
As we struggle through a time of economic uncertainty, the last thing we need is more wasteful spending and higher taxes on businesses and working families. Next session will be another battle for us against new taxes and new moves to circumvent our constitution.
But the next few months I will spend with the people of my district, staying grounded to those I represent. In addition to spending time at the farm with my family, my thoughts are turning to my re-election campaign in 2024.
In fact, I intend to begin my re-election campaign today.
The 10th District has been hotly contested and next year will be no different. In fact, Democrats have made no secret that my seat is their number one target.
That’s why I intend to begin marketing my campaign right away, and I need your help.
Will you join me in investing early so we can talk with voters now?
The maximum legal donation is $1,200 per person, or $2,400 per couple. But even $50, $100, or $250 will go a long way in helping us stay in the fight!
Can I count on your help? You can make a donation to my campaign here. [Ed. Note: donation link omitted.]
