School Board hears a report about Stanwood High

The Stanwood-Camano School Board got insight about Stanwood High School’s year so far and approved donations during the regular board meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2025.
The board heard a report from Stanwood High School Principal Mike Washington on the building’s School Improvement Plan and Annual Action Plan.
The board also approved two donations:
- A donation of library supplies from the Dorothy Koch Foundation, valued at $803.77 in support of Elger Bay Elementary School.
- A 10-foot enclosed utility trailer donated by the Stanwood High School Band Boosters to transport band equipment and instruments to competitions and events, valued at $1,000.
Four citizens spoke during public comment.
The board’s next regular meeting is at 6 p.m. on Oct. 21. Meetings are in the boardroom at the Stanwood-Camano School District Administration & Resource Center, 26920 Pioneer Highway, in Stanwood. You can sign up for public comment HERE.
