I’ve heard from many neighbors about the need to address heartbreaking examples of animal cruelty and neglect in our community and state. I cosponsored a bipartisan bill (HB 1961) to help better prevent this—and hold those who are responsible for abuse accountable for their actions.
Skagit County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Nathaniel Block had a hand in revising the state law regarding animal cruelty.
