SOUTH WHIDBEY RECORD: Contest for Langley mayor position remains uneventful
Langley Mayor Tim Callison is resigning this June as he is moving outside the city limits. So far, Langley Councilmember Thomas Gill is the only candidate who has applied to serve out the two and one half year remainder of the mayoral term. City Council members will choose a new mayor at their meeting scheduled for June 21. Kira Erickson has the story in the South Whidbey Record.
On the Ballot in November 2021:
- City Councilmember, Position 1: Kay Kenneweg vs. Harolynne Bobis. (Incumbent Christy Korrow is not running for re-election.)
- City Councilmember, Position 2: Rhonda Salerno is running unopposed. (Incumbent Dominique Emerson is not running for re-election.)
- City Councilmember, Position 5: Tony L. Gill vs. Scott Chaplin.
- City Councilmember, Position 5: Joel Servatius (incumbent) vs. Shane Hoffmire
