SOUTH WHIDBEY RECORD: Greenheron replaces Greene on South Whidbey School Board
Kira Erickson reports from the South Whidbey School Board:
The South Whidbey School Board appointed a new member this week.
Joe Greenheron was chosen to fill the vacancy left by Damian Greene, who resigned from the board earlier this year after citing differences of opinions.
During a school board meeting Wednesday night, five candidates were interviewed for the position. Greenheron was selected to serve the remainder of Greene’s term, which runs through the end of 2023.
They Said It
“It’s a wonderful dilemma to have five qualified people asking for a volunteer position like this, and we’re a fortunate community,” Board Member Marnie Jackson said.
“We were spoiled for choice this time,” Board Member Brook Willeford agreed.
“I’m looking forward to working with everybody,” [newly-appointed Board Member Joe Greenheron] said. “Thank you for allowing me to serve.”
