SOUTH WHIDBEY RECORD: Letter: Ferry system has attitude problem

Retiring Langley City Councilmember Peter Morton wrote a letter to the editor expressing concern about ferry service on the Mukilteo-Clinton route. The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), which operates the ferry, announced the addition of a second boat to “supplement service” on October 24th. Morton is concerned that phrasing indicates WSDOT now considers a single boat to be normal service on the route. The letter was published in the South Whidbey Record on Wednesday, October 27.
They Said It
Councilmember Peter Morton: The above communication from WSDOT suggests there is a fundamental attitude problem with ferry system management and communications policy, and it needs to be brought to the attention of all stakeholders, including senior leadership at the WSDOT.
