Big change is on the horizon for the City of Langley. The only applicant, so far, for the remaining two years of Mayor Callison’s term is councilmember Thomas Gill. If he is appointed, councilmember Craig Cyr will be the only current councilmember remaining as incumbents Dominique Emerson, Peter Morton and Christy Korrow are not seeking re-election.
“I would not have guessed I would be the senior member on council two years into my term, that’s for sure,” Cyr said. The council will appoint a new mayor in the near future.
Additionally, there are other changes being made the on the Langley city staff. See Kira Erickson’s story in the South Whidbey Record for the details.
