SOUTH WHIDBEY: Rescheduled! Comp Scheme Open House Thu 2/15/24 (PoSW)
The Port of South Whidbey announced a new date for their Comprehensive Scheme Open House via email on Feb. 2, 2024.
We have rescheduled our Comprehensive Scheme Open House. Please make plans to join us on Thursday, February 15 starting at 5:00 p.m. to provide feedback to our draft Comprehensive Scheme. The Open House will be held at the Bayview Cash Store in the Front Room Meeting Space (second floor, above the Taproom)- 5603 Bayview Road Langley, WA 98260. Please note that a quorum of the Port District of South Whidbey Island’s Board of Commissioners will be present to participate in this Open House. No action will be taken by the Port Commissioners during this event.
The Comprehensive Scheme (officially called a “comprehensive scheme of harbor improvement” in the RCW) is a document required by law for Port Districts to develop, present to the public, and adopt by the Commission. The Port cannot pursue any capital projects that are not described in this document, so this document helps guide the Port’s future plans. We hope you will plan to join us or provide feedback by taking the survey.
