Students have now made it home safely this afternoon

The Stanwood-Camano School District posted this to its Facebook page on 2025-12-11 18:27:03.
Students have now made it home safely this afternoon. Thank you once again to our bus drivers, students, staff, and families for your patience, flexibility, and teamwork throughout this week’s weather. Our Transportation team did an outstanding job navigating the remaining road closures, and we appreciate everyone’s support as routes wrapped up.
The Stillaguamish River level is dropping and officials say these remaining floodwaters likely do not pose a threat to Interstate 5 or downtown Stanwood, which is welcome news for our community!
Our attention now shifts north, where the Skagit River continues to rise. While there are no current impacts to our schools, we are staying in close contact with emergency management partners as conditions develop throughout the night and into Friday morning.
If changing conditions impact school schedules, transportation, or activities, we will communicate updates directly with families and staff through email, text, our website, and social media.
