WHIDBEY NEWS-TIMES: Candidate filing period is just around the corner for a general election that has the potential to transform the leadership of municipal government on Whidbey Island.
Below is a list of the Island County elected officials whose positions are on the ballot in 2025.
SOUTH WHIDBEY RECORD: Wednesday, the South Whidbey School Board unanimously voted to oppose two amendments that would exclude transgender athletes from participating in interscholastic girls sports.
The South Whidbey School District sent a letter to parents and community members declaring their commitment to district policies supporting all students, regardless of immigration status or gender identity.
