CITY OF OAK HARBOR: The Police Community Advisory Board met on Feb. 4, 2026. The elected officers for 2026 and discussed recruiting volunteers for vacant positions and their annual report to the City Council.
CITY OF OAK HARBOR: In their Feb. 3, 2026 meeting, the City Council approved a change to the municipal code regarding nepotism on boards and advisory commissions and re-appointed members of the Parks and Recreation Commission.
WHIDBEY NEWS-TIMES: Council members approved lower speed limits on a highway segment to match state safety plans, despite a local resident’s objections; supporters argued the stricter limits target chronic speeders and improve safety.
