CITY OF OAK HARBOR: The City Council’s Feb. 10 workshop included discussion of the new joint tourism promotion interlocal agreement, the need for pickleball courts within the City, and additions to the police department’s vehicle fleet.

CITY OF OAK HARBOR: In their Feb. 3, 2026 meeting, the City Council approved a change to the municipal code regarding nepotism on boards and advisory commissions and re-appointed members of the Parks and Recreation Commission.
WHIDBEY NEWS-TIMES: Council members approved lower speed limits on a highway segment to match state safety plans, despite a local resident’s objections; supporters argued the stricter limits target chronic speeders and improve safety.
CITY OF OAK HARBOR: The City Council’s Jan. 27 workshop featured re-appointments of volunteers to several of the City’s boards and advisory commissions, and discussion of a new ordinance adding a section on nepotism to the municipal code.
