The City of Oak Harbor announced an open house on downtown and waterfront redevelopment, to be held on Feb. 27, 2025.
I’d encourage anyone to attend regardless if you are for or against redevelopment. Social media comments are a good start, but direct one on one feedback is invaluable.
SOUTH WHIDBEY RECORD: In the city of Langley, businesses move in and out of the downtown core as the years go by, following the ebb and flow of openings and closings. There are some buildings, however, that have remained empty storefronts for far longer than others, leaving some to wonder if they will ever reopen their doors again.
