SOUTH WHIDBEY RECORD: For months, the Port of South Whidbey has been trying to solve the issue of what to do about the concession stands’ encroachment onto another public entity’s property. Up until recently, it was believed that they were partially located on land belonging to the South Whidbey School District.
SOUTH WHIDBEY RECORD: South Whidbey School Board officials gave Port of South Whidbey commissioners the green light last week to proceed with a study that will assess whether housing is possible on both of the public entities’ lands.
The South Whidbey Record reports: Port of South Whidbey officials have agreed on a temporary fix to repair food booths just in time for the upcoming fair.
The Port of South Whidbey recently unveiled an updated conceptual plan for “workforce” housing, which foresees units built on top of new concession stands on the Whidbey Island Fairgrounds.
