About 30 people took to the streets Saturday on a cold, sunny afternoon to stand up for racial justice and equity.
School officials are identifying where to make some cuts after voters twice rejected a facilities and technology levy.
Voters are again rejecting the Stanwood-Camano schools’ Facilities and Technology with only 47.5% votes in favor, as of the ballot count update Thursday, far short of the simple majority required to pass.
Stanwood-Camano voters are being asked again to renew the School District’s four-year Facilities and Technology Levy. The levy was rejected Feb. 8.
Stanwood-Camano Superintendent Deborah Rumbaugh will host monthly15-minute visits to hear from people in the community.
The Stanwood-Camano School Board voted Feb. 15 to place the same levy that voters rejected earlier this month on a special ballot for April 26.
