STANWOOD CAMANO NEWS: Community members who applied to be on the Stanwood-Camano School District’s Academic Advisory Committee received word last week that the group will hold its first meeting Dec. 12.
STANWOOD CAMANO NEWS: More than 600 people have signed a petition as of Friday morning urging Stanwood-Camano School Board President Al Schreiber to step down from his position.
STANWOOD CAMANO NEWS: The Stanwood-Camano School District Board of Directors met Tuesday, Nov. 5, to work on developing a districtwide cell phone policy.
The board also held a study session to discuss the Academic Advisory Committee, which was adjourned abruptly due to hostility between the board and attendees.
STANWOOD CAMANO NEWS: Stanwood-Camano School District Superintendent Deborah Rumbaugh announced her resignation at a school board meeting Tuesday.
STANWOOD CAMANO NEWS: Candidates for the District 1 and District 2 seats on the Board of Island County Commissioners will appear on the Nov. 5 ballot for Camano and Whidbey islanders.
