The Island County Elections office released a list of 66 elective offices that are up for election in 2021. These office range from city and town council positions in Oak Harbor, Langley, and Coupeville to commissioners in a variety of water districts around the county.

Oak Harbor Public Schools has produced a video, available on YouTube and the district’s website, to promote their 2021 Replacement Levy. Ballots have already been mailed, and must be dropped off or postmarked by Tuesday, February 9, 2021.

Emily Gilbert reports in the Whidbey News-Times on a legislative forum held by the Oak Harbor School District with 10th District legislators on Friday, Dec. 19. The school board outlined their legislative priorities, including mental health care and special education funding.
The Whidbey News-Times reports: “Several Oak Harbor High School teachers criticized the school board” over changes to its reopening plan.
The Oak Harbor School Board voted unanimously to get a plan for in-person classes.
