The Oak Harbor City Council unanimously voted to look into acquiring a sculpture for Windjammer Park, though their public opinion tool shows the public opposes the acquisition.

The Washington Court of Appeals has affirmed Island County Superior Court Judge Alan Hancock’s decision overturning the City of Oak Harbor’s approval of a low-income housing project downtown.
The Island County Elections office released a list of 66 elective offices that are up for election in 2021. These office range from city and town council positions in Oak Harbor, Langley, and Coupeville to commissioners in a variety of water districts around the county.
Oak Harbor Public Schools has produced a video, available on YouTube and the district’s website, to promote their 2021 Replacement Levy. Ballots have already been mailed, and must be dropped off or postmarked by Tuesday, February 9, 2021.
