SOUTH WHIDBEY RECORD: During a meeting on Wednesday, the South Whidbey School District Board of Directors voted to petition the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction to allow the district to increase the expenditures for the 2023-24 school year by $550,000.
THE SOUTH WHIDBEY RECORD REPORTS: The South Whidbey School Board recently approved the budget for the 2024-25 school year, authorizing the district to spend up to $22.4 million and to eliminate band for fifth graders and some staffing positions through attrition.
