SOUTH WHIDBEY RECORD: A community-led emergency preparedness group in the Village by the Sea is searching for more volunteers.
The city of Langley will observe Juneteenth, commemorating the end of slavery in the United States, with a gathering on June 16 and a city holiday on June 20.
Langley Mayor Scott Chaplin named Tavier Wasser, a patrol deputy in the Island County Sheriff’s Department, as the city’s new Chief of Police.
