The School Board recognized a Shining Star and accepted more than $9,000 in donations from generous community groups during its regular board meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 20.

The board awarded a Shining Star honor to Stanwood High School senior Shawn Hawkins. Congratulations Shawn!
