This is the third installment in our series this school year of looking at how our district uses a wide array of data each day to ensure every student has the support they need to succeed.
Currently, our schools are having their second Data Summit of the school year — a critical step in our process of using real-time data to guide instruction. During these summits, teachers and staff analyze the latest trends in student growth, collaborate on impactful strategies, and refine plans to address areas where students need extra support (highlighted in the attached video).
While state testing results are often the most publicly discussed measure of student achievement, those results come just once a year and provide only a broad snapshot. In contrast, our teachers rely on the data we gather and analyze regularly — right now, in real time. This approach allows us to make meaningful adjustments throughout the year, tailoring our teaching to meet students’ needs as they arise. It’s this ongoing, responsive process that ensures we’re doing everything possible to help every student thrive.
