Wednesday morning the state of California requested assistance from Washington State fire agencies to assist with multiple wildfires in the LA area. NWFR FF Chloe Eriksen deployed with Camano Island Fire to assist with the fires in Southern California, their deployment will be 18 days.
An engine and crew are headed to California to support CAL FIRE as they battle multiple wildfires in the LA area.
Cpt. Mezzone, Paramedic Shockley, and FF Down – along with FF Erickson from North Whidbey Fire and Rescue – should arrive in the area Friday. They’ll be deployed for two weeks before heading home.
