We’re kicking off a three-part video series to take a closer look at the Safety & Infrastructure Levy and what it would mean for schools across our district.
In this episode, Superintendent Ryan Ovenell sits down with Stanwood Elementary Principal Staci Lauinger to talk about how elementary buildings are used every day — and why things like carpet, temperature control, playground access, and communication systems matter so much for younger learners. Some of these improvements are easy to notice. Others work quietly in the background but make a real difference for comfort, safety, and fewer disruptions to learning.
Each episode focuses on a different perspective and set of needs across our schools. We encourage families to watch and then look up the specific projects proposed for their school. To explore the proposed projects by school, visit: www.stanwood.wednet.edu/levy
🗳️ Election Day: Feb. 10
More episodes coming soon.
