WHIDBEY NEWS-TIMES: In Our Opinion: Hospital board violation of OPMA is maddening

The Whidbey News-Times published an editorial on Sep. 21, 2022, expressing frustration with the Whidbey Island Hospital District Board of Commissioners and their conduct of their board meeting last week, which may have violated the state’s Open Public Meeting Act (OPMA).

It’s unclear whether the elected members of WhidbeyHealth board are purposely flouting the state’s Open Public Meetings Act or if they are ignorant of the vital law and the general importance of open government. Either way, it’s unacceptable.
