Island County Commissioner Jill Johnson (R-Oak Harbor) wrote a letter to the editor endorsing Assessor candidate Kelly Mauck in the November election. The letter was published in the Sat., Oct. 29, 2022 edition of the Whidbey News-Times.

They Said It

[Island County Commissioner Jill Johnson]: Kelly Mauck is a proven administrator with a track record of representing the interests of Island County citizens and its government.

Being the Island County assessor is an administrative job, of which Kelly is eminently qualified. He has proven through his service that he has the skills needed to succeed in a local government setting. If not, why would all the elected officials who worked alongside him in the past be standing with him as we move Island County forward toward a more responsible, accountable and visionary future?
