Yesterday morning, two students from Oak Harbor Intermediate School, Lincoln Bass and Zander Mitchell, assisted an elderly gentleman who fell in the school’s parking lot. Their quick thinking and bravery modeled OHI’s core values of being Respectful, Responsible, and Ready. The school recognized Lincoln and Zander with a school-wide PA announcement, Certificates of Excellence, and letters of commendation to their families.
“We are incredibly proud of these young individuals for representing the very best of our district,” said Principal Raenette Wood.

Heroes in Our Halls!
We are bursting with pride Today! Yesterday morning, two of our students, Lincoln Bass (6th Grade) and Zander Mitchell (5th Grade), showed incredible bravery and leadership when an elderly gentleman fell in our parking lot.
Without being asked, Lincoln and Zander jumped in to stop traffic, making sure the area was safe so adults could provide help. A huge thank you to Mr. O’Toole for witnessing and sharing this story of our students in action.
Lincoln and Zander, thank you for living out our core values of being Respectful, Responsible, and Ready. You make our school community a better place!
