Greenbank Farm Solar Panels
Thanks to Port of Coupeville facilities staff, the solar panels at Greenbank Farm were recently cleaned.
The community solar project was initially installed in 2011. Project partners included Puget Sound Energy (through their green power grant), Whidbey Sun & Wind, Glacier Energy, Island Community Solar, local citizens and investors, and the Port of Coupeville.
At that time, two rows of solar panels produced approx 25.1 kilowatt hours. But the infrastructure for a larger solar array was installed, and as of 2019, the 12 rows of solar panels generate up to 152 kilowatt hours.
