After first withdrawing from the race for commissioner of the Port of Coupeville Board and then deciding to accept his victory at the November election, John Callahan announced his resignation from his District 3 commissioner position, but not due to health concerns.

Prior to the election, John Callahan announced he was withdrawing from the race for commissioner of the Port of Coupeville Board and endorsed his opponent, Angela Ewert. But now, he has changed his mind.

Though it is too late to officially withdraw from the race, a current Port of Coupeville commissioner has announced that he does not intend to continue in the position and endorsed his opponent in the upcoming general election.
